Book a 'Hike and Bike' weekend

Any of my guided mountain bike rides can be combined with a guided walk in a nearby area of the Lake District on the same weekend. Check the lake district guided walks page for details.

Please note, these rides are for competent mountain bikers with some previous mountain biking experience and a level of fitness that comes with regular exercise. Please contact us if you are unsure about your suitability for a particular route.

Below is a list of some of the rides planned for autumn:

Borrowdale Circuit from honister pass
This ride takes us on a full circuit around the Borrowdale Valley and includes a great combination of technical descents, fast rolling bridleways and country lanes. There are some steep climbs and one particular descent requires good off-road skills, but you can always get off and push...

A superb shorter ride, with one of the fastest, sweeping descents in the Lake District at the very end. We will ride along the scenic disused railway from Keswick to Threlkeld before heading into the mountains between Skiddaw and Blencathra for a memorable ride alongside the Glendaterra River. Most of the route is rideable, with only a couple of truly technical uphill sections.
